Katia Duncker

As a partner in our Helsinki office and head of our Competition & EU Law group in Finland, I specialise in complex competition and corporate matters.

Over the years, I have worked on a number of cutting-edge competition law and public procurement cases for prestigious clients, both nationally and internationally. I also have extensive experience in advising on commercial and corporate M&A transactions, and in litigation proceedings relating to competition law and public procurement matters.

I am very business oriented and think it is essential in competition law and public procurement matters. In order to define whether a conduct is in compliance with competition laws, one has to understand the dynamics of the relevant market.

Competition law and public procurement are both fairly new legal doctrines in which I have had the pleasure to work in from the beginning. Seeing the evolvement of these two legal areas during my career has really deepened my expertise.

I was Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Association for Competition law from 2012 to 2014, and have been a board member since 2006. Alongside my native Finnish, I speak English and French.
